Merton GP Access Hubs
Access Hubs are located in Wide Way Medical Centre, Mitcham and the Nelson Medical Practice. Appointments are available from 5.00pm to 8.00pm weekdays and 8.00am to 8.00pm weekends. Receptionists can make appointments in the usual way or if out of hours, patients can call 111 before attending. This is not a walk-in service; GPs deal with patients and have access to medical records. Pre-bookable nursing appointments are available to patients requiring wound care at the weekends.

Antenatal/Pregnancy Self Referral
Services are available at St George’s Hospital, Kingston Hospital (www.kingstonmaternity.org.uk) and St Helier Hospital (www.epsom-sthelier.nhs.uk/antenatal-care).
Pharmacy
Visit your local pharmacy for common health problems such as sore throat, diarrhoea and headache, minor ailments and self-help advice. Some pharmacies offer additional services such as prescriptions, flu vaccinations, blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes tests, weight management, emergency hormonal contraception, stop smoking, health checks and medication advice.
Urgent Care Centre
These centres deal with severe but not life threatening illness or health problems which also include wounds, cuts and sprains). Local urgent care centres are located at St Georges Hospital (020 8672 1255) and St Helier Hospital (020 8296 2000).
